For you

I exalt your astrocytes.
I exalt your hair follicles.
I exalt your bone marrow.
I exalt your alveoli.
Were civilisation to collapse and we are the only two on earth,
I'd re-name cities after you,
sketching maps from the lines that adorn your palms.
Your aorta is basis of all that is,
And all that will ever be,
My infrastructure,
I exalt your keratinocytes,
I exalt your tender feet muscles since they helped you walk upon the world's surface until you found me.
My mirror,
My mystery,
Two merged consciousnesses,
as though there is no more I or you,
as though the gravity of individuality is no more,
I thought that all the poetry I had ever written belonged to me,
But they don't,
They were mere drafts guiding me to you,
My eternal poem,
May my boat remain evermore at your shore,
anchored to your harbour,
shimmering amidst the crystallised waves of your effulgence.
My eternal poem,
There are constellations in wonder of you,
Galaxies that are seeking solace between your ribs,
Universes studying the soft hue of your bright spirit.
